Green Fingers Project
Green Fingers is an Erasmus + Startegic Partnership KA2 action project financed by Aktiv Ungdom (Norwegian National Agency), Erasmus + and the European Commission. It counts with 4 international partners: the coordinating organization and three partner organizations. The project international activities are mainly directed to the training of leaders of the participating organization as to provide them with the necessary working knowledge to develop the project locally.
Organic farming is used as an innovative tool for the development of skills for youths belonging to social minority groups, in order to instill a sense of social entrepreneurship and promote integration in their local communities. Green Fingers Project promotes a safe and welcoming environment where youths belonging to minority groups are invited to interact with local youths through different activities.
The project includes outdoors activities such as organic farming as well as indoors, such as “cooking together” sessions and workshops. It is also expected, based on the international dimension of the project, for these youths to socialize, share experiences and ideas with others belonging to different countries, cultures and realities and hence promote their empowerment.
